Froqel is an independent price guide for Canadian restaurant chains, built and maintained by one person, Joshua C. Pulley. By reading this site, you agree to the terms below. They're written in plain English because there's no legal department behind this site to translate them for you later.

What Froqel is

Froqel is an information resource. It publishes menu prices for restaurant chains operating in Canada, along with comparisons and calculations built from those prices. Joshua gathers those prices from public menus, in person visits, receipts and the chains' own websites and apps, then writes up what he found. Froqel is not a delivery service, not a reservation system and not affiliated with any restaurant chain it covers. You can't order food through Froqel, and Froqel doesn't process payments of any kind. Reading the site, sharing a page, or using a price to plan a visit are the only interactions Froqel is built for.

Price accuracy

This is the part that matters most. Prices change without notice. They vary by province, by city, by individual location and by ordering channel: a combo can cost one amount at the counter, a different amount through a chain's own app, and a third amount on a delivery platform. Menu prices listed on Froqel are shown before tax, and tax rates themselves vary by province, so the total you pay at the register will differ from the number on this site by more than the price alone would suggest. Froqel records prices at a specific point in time, states that date on each page, and makes no warranty that a listed price is current or that it applies at any specific restaurant. Before you rely on a price for an order, check it against the restaurant directly or through the chain's own website or app. Froqel is a reference, not a receipt.

Availability

Froqel is one person's project, kept online and updated around a regular job. There's no guarantee the site will be available every minute of every day, and no service level promise attached to it. If the site goes down for maintenance or comes back with a page temporarily missing, that's a normal part of running something this size, not a breach of anything owed to you.

Trademarks

Every restaurant name, logo and trademark shown on this site belongs to its owner. Froqel is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any restaurant chain it writes about. Brand names appear here for one reason: to identify the business whose prices are being described. Nothing on this site should be read as a claim of partnership or approval from any chain.

Froqel's own content

The written analysis on Froqel, including comparisons, per unit calculations and commentary, is original work produced by Joshua and is protected as such. The prices themselves are facts, gathered from public menus and receipts, and Froqel doesn't claim ownership over a number. What Froqel owns is the writing built around those numbers: how they're compared, what they add up to, and what's worth noticing about them. If you want to quote a page, a link back is appreciated but not required by these terms.

Acceptable use

Read the site, share links to it, and use the numbers on it for your own purposes. What isn't allowed: scraping the site in a way that degrades it for other visitors, republishing whole pages elsewhere as your own, rebuilding a competing price database from Froqel's pages, or using automated tools to pull the entire site's content in bulk. A person checking a few prices is exactly what this site is for. A bot copying every page is not, and a request pattern that looks like the second one may get blocked without warning.

Limitation of liability

Froqel is provided as is, without guarantees of any kind. Joshua checks prices carefully when a page is written or updated, but menus change on their own schedule and mistakes happen despite that effort. Froqel isn't liable for any loss you connect to relying on information here, including a price that turned out to be wrong by the time you visited a restaurant. This site is meant to help you plan and compare, not to serve as a binding quote from any restaurant. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply within it, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from your use of this site is subject to the courts of Ontario.

One person, updated terms

Froqel is a one person operation, and these terms describe how that person actually runs the site, not a template written for a company with departments and shareholders. Because of that, these terms may need to change as the site grows or as advertising and analytics tools change. When they do, the date at the top of this page updates, and the new version takes effect as soon as it's posted. Continuing to use Froqel after a change means you accept the updated terms.
