I went through every price on Tim Hortons' Canadian menu, hot drinks, cold drinks, donuts, Timbits, sandwiches and combos, and built the tables below from one verified source list current for 2025 and 2026. The quick facts table has the numbers people usually want first. Everything past it, including the size-by-size coffee math nobody else bothers to publish, is further down.

How Tim Hortons prices its drink sizes

Original Blend coffee is $1.59 small, $1.83 medium, $2.07 large and $2.35 extra large. Step through those and the jumps are $0.24, then $0.24, then $0.28: two identical steps, then a bigger one for the last size. Dark Roast, Decaf and Hot Tea all follow that same ladder, cent for cent, since they're priced identically to Original Blend at every size.

I checked whether that pattern holds across the other 16 hot drinks on the menu. Mostly, it doesn't.

How Tim Hortons prices its drink sizes
DrinkSmall to mediumMedium to largeLarge to extra large
Original Blend, Dark Roast, Decaf, Hot Tea$0.24$0.24$0.28
Cappuccino$0.30$0.30$0.30
Americano$0.30$0.30$0.30
French Vanilla$0.30$0.20$0.30
Hot Chocolate, Steamed Milk$0.30$0.20$0.30
Latte, Mocha, Caramel, Vanilla, Chai, London Fog$0.50$0.30$0.50
Baileys Cream Coffee$0.30$0.40$0.30
Baileys Dream Hot Chocolate$0.20$0.30$0.30
Baileys Latte, no extra large$0.50$0.50n/a

Two drinks step evenly at every size: Cappuccino and Americano, both up $0.30 at every change, small to medium, medium to large, large to extra large. That's the only genuinely flat ladder on the hot drinks list. Everything built on a latte base, Latte, Mocha Latte, Caramel Latte, Vanilla Latte, Chai Latte and London Fog, six drinks in total, moves in a big-small-big pattern instead: $0.50, then $0.30, then $0.50 again. French Vanilla, Hot Chocolate and Steamed Milk do a smaller version of the same shape, $0.30, $0.20, $0.30. Baileys Cream Coffee runs backward from all of those: its middle step costs more than either outer one, $0.30, $0.40, $0.30. Espresso and Double Espresso don't step at all, they're single-size pours at $1.49 and $1.99 with no bigger cup on offer.

So which upsize actually pays off? Medium to large, on every latte-based drink on the menu. It's the cheapest step by a wide margin, $0.30 against $0.50 on both sides of it. Order a Latte and go medium to large and you're paying the same $0.30 that Cappuccino and Americano drinkers pay for every size change they make. Go small to medium or large to extra large on the same drink instead and the upsize costs $0.50, two thirds more for the step. On the filtered coffee side, small to medium and medium to large are tied at $0.24 each, so neither is the better deal; the pricier step there is the last one, large to extra large, at $0.28.

The gap between a coffee and a latte

The gap between a coffee and a latte
SizeOriginal BlendLatteGap
Small$1.59$3.19$1.60
Medium$1.83$3.69$1.86
Large$2.07$3.99$1.92
Extra large$2.35$4.49$2.14

A Latte costs roughly double a brewed coffee at every size, but the dollar gap behind that multiple isn't fixed. It's $1.60 at small, widens to $1.86 at medium and $1.92 at large, and hits $2.14 at extra large. That extra large gap alone, $2.14, would cover a small coffee and a single Timbit with $0.20 left over. As a multiple the premium barely moves, a small Latte runs about 2.0 times the small coffee, an extra large Latte about 1.9 times the extra large coffee, but the actual number of dollars separating the two keeps climbing as the cups get bigger.

Item prices

Timbits price

A single Timbit costs $0.35 at Tim Hortons. Boxed, the price breaks down further: a 10-piece box is $3.29, a 20-piece box is $6.29, and the 50-piece party box is $14.99.

Timbits cost per box

Timbits get cheaper per piece as the box size goes up. A 10-piece box works out to $0.33 each, $3.29 divided by 10. A 20-piece box works out to $0.31 each: $6.29 divided by 20 is $0.3145 unrounded, about a cent and a half cheaper per piece than the 10-piece box. The 50-piece box has the best per-piece rate on the whole menu: $14.99 divided by 50 is $0.2998, effectively $0.30 each. Buy 20 loose Timbits at the single price and you'd pay $7.00; the 20-piece box is $6.29, a $0.71 saving. Buy 50 loose and you'd pay $17.50; the 50-piece box is $14.99, a $2.51 saving, about 14% off the single-piece rate.

Tim Hortons small coffee price

A small coffee is $1.59 at Tim Hortons, and that price holds whether you order Original Blend, Dark Roast or Decaf. A small Hot Tea is also $1.59. Step up to a small specialty drink and the price jumps right away: a small French Vanilla is $2.49, a small Cappuccino is $2.69.

Tim Hortons 12 donuts price

Twelve donuts cost $19.08 if you pick classics, Glazed, Chocolate Glazed, Honey Cruller or Boston Cream, at $1.59 each. I don't have a separate dozen-box price for donuts in the data I've verified, only the per-donut price, so that figure is 12 times the single price, not a discounted box rate. Pick a dozen premium donuts instead, Apple Fritter or one of the Muffin Tops at $1.79 each, and 12 comes to $21.48. Mix classics and premiums and your dozen lands somewhere between those two numbers. Unlike Timbits, there's no bulk discount built into donut pricing: buying one costs exactly the same per piece as buying twelve.

Four are $1.79: Apple Fritter and the three Muffin Tops. The three Baileys Dream Donuts are the priciest at $2.49 each. Same rule as the dozen math above applies at any quantity: six classic donuts cost $9.54, and twelve cost $19.08, exactly double. No per-piece discount for buying more, at six or at twelve.

Timbits

Every Timbit flavour on the board, chocolate, glazed, honey cruller, blueberry, apple fritter, Boston cream, maple, raspberry filled, strawberry filled, mocha, chocolate glazed and birthday cake, costs the same $0.35. Flavour doesn't move the price, only quantity does.

Breakfast

Tim Hortons breakfast, briefly: a Simply Sausage Sandwich is the cheapest option at $2.99, an Egg & Cheese Breakfast Sandwich is $3.99, a Bacon Breakfast Sandwich is $4.49, and a Farmer's Breakfast Sandwich tops the individual sandwiches at $5.49. Across the full breakfast menu, prices range from $1.49 for Toast up to $19.99 for a Classic Breakfast Bundle that feeds four to six people. Most Canadian locations serve breakfast all day, starting around 5:00 a.m., so there's no cutoff to race against the way there is at some other chains. I've broken down the complete breakfast menu, every sandwich, wrap and bundle, with full prices, on the Tim Hortons breakfast menu and prices page.

What Tim Hortons combos actually save you

What Tim Hortons combos actually save you
ComboWhat's includedPrice
Breakfast ComboSandwich, hashbrown and coffee$6.99
Lunch ComboSandwich, fries and drink$9.99
Wrap ComboWrap, chips and drink$9.99
Family Bundle4 sandwiches and 4 drinks$29.99
Snack PackTimbits and coffee$4.99

The Lunch Combo, a sandwich, fries and a drink for $9.99, beats buying the parts separately in every version I tested. The cheapest Artisan Sandwich, BLT or Ham & Cheddar, is $5.99, French Fries are $3.49, and a small Original Blend coffee is $1.59; bought separately that's $11.07, so the combo saves $1.08 even at the cheapest possible pick. Swap the coffee for a bottled Coca-Cola at $2.69 and separate ordering costs $12.17, a $2.18 gap. Pick a pricier sandwich, like the Turkey Bacon Club at $6.99, and the combo's advantage only grows.

The Family Bundle, 4 sandwiches and 4 drinks for $29.99, is a thinner deal. Four of the cheapest Artisan Sandwiches at $5.99 plus four small coffees at $1.59 comes to $30.32 bought separately, a saving of just $0.33. Order four Turkey Bacon Clubs instead and the parts cost $34.32, making the bundle worth $4.33. Whether the Family Bundle pays off depends entirely on which sandwich you'd have ordered anyway.

I couldn't test the Snack Pack against its parts with much confidence. It bundles Timbits and a coffee for $4.99, but the source doesn't say how many Timbits are in it or what size the coffee is. If it's a small coffee and a 10-piece box, the parts add up to $4.88, just $0.11 less than the combo; if it's fewer Timbits than that, the combo is likely the better buy.

I've left the Breakfast Combo and the Wrap Combo out of the teardown. The Breakfast Combo's parts belong to the breakfast menu, covered in full elsewhere, and the Wrap Combo's chips aren't priced as a standalone item in the data I've verified, so I won't guess at a number for either.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a large coffee at Tim Hortons?

A large coffee, Original Blend, Dark Roast or Decaf, costs $2.07. Specialty hot drinks cost more at the same size: a large Latte is $3.99, and a large Cappuccino is $3.29.

How much is an extra large coffee at Tim Hortons?

Extra large coffee tops out at $2.35 for Original Blend, Dark Roast or Decaf, the top of the brewed coffee ladder. Espresso and Double Espresso don't come in bigger sizes at all, they're single-size items at $1.49 and $1.99.

How much is a double-double?

There's no separate double-double price on the board. It's a regular coffee with two cream and two sugar, so it costs whatever the cup costs: $1.59 small up to $2.35 extra large for Original Blend.

How much is a Tim Hortons Iced Capp?

Small Iced Capp is $3.79, medium is $4.29 and large is $4.79. There's no extra large Iced Capp; the cold beverage lineup tops out at large across almost the entire menu.

How much do 50 Timbits cost?

Fifty Timbits cost $14.99 in the party box, the best per-piece rate on the menu at roughly $0.30 each. Split it 10 ways at a meeting and that works out to about $1.50 a person.

How much are Tim Hortons donuts?

Classic Tim Hortons donuts, a Glazed or a Boston Cream, for example, cost $1.59 each. Premium options like the Apple Fritter or a Muffin Top run $1.79, and the Baileys Dream Donuts are $2.49.

Are Tim Hortons prices the same at every location in Canada?

I can't confirm that from one national list, and I wouldn't assume it. Tim Hortons is a franchise system, and owners have some room to set their own prices, so treat the figures on this page as representative rather than a guarantee for the location on your corner.

What's the cheapest thing on the Tim Hortons menu?

Dipping sauces are the cheapest items on the board, $0.25 each: ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, BBQ, ranch, sweet and sour, honey mustard and hot sauce. The cheapest actual food or drink item is a single Timbit at $0.35.

Methodology and disclaimer

I compiled these prices from Tim Hortons' own posted Canadian menu, cross-checked across sources current for 2025 and 2026. These are counter and takeout prices; I haven't separately verified delivery-app pricing, which can run higher than what you'd pay ordering at the till or the drive-thru.

Prices exclude tax, and what gets added depends on where you order. Ontario (ON) charges 13% HST. British Columbia (BC) charges 5% GST plus provincial sales tax. Alberta (AB) charges just 5% GST, the lowest combined rate of the three. Tim Hortons is a franchise system, and individual owners have some latitude on pricing, so a location in downtown Toronto won't always match a location in rural Saskatchewan (SK) to the penny. I'll update this page as prices change.
